Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 September 2026
1. About Niblet
Niblet Story Creator is a personalised story service that lets adult account holders create reusable characters and generate private illustrated stories and narration for their family. These terms apply when you create an account, use the service or purchase a Niblet subscription.
2. Adult accounts
Niblet accounts are for people aged 18 or over acting as the adult parent, carer or family account holder. If you create stories for a child, you remain responsible for the account, the information you provide and the way generated content is shared with that child.
3. Welcome Story offer and Niblet Family subscription
Newly registered adult-managed Niblet accounts may receive one Welcome Story Credit after the account email has been verified. The Welcome Story Credit can be used for one complete Standard story and does not require a payment card. The offer is limited to one claim per verified email identity and per account. Deleting and recreating an account does not create a new entitlement to the offer.
The launch Niblet Family plan is £4.99 per month and renews monthly until cancelled. Each successfully paid monthly subscription period grants 2 story credits. Unused credits can roll over up to a maximum balance of 4 credits. The v1 paid launch is offered for purchase only to customers in the United Kingdom.
A story credit is reserved when a story-generation attempt starts. If generation fails before delivery, the reserved credit is restored. Failed or unpaid subscription invoices do not grant new credits. Story credits are a service allowance, are not cash and cannot be transferred or redeemed for money.
4. Payments, renewal and cancellation
Subscription checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. Unless you cancel, Niblet Family renews monthly at the recurring price shown before you place the order. You can manage or cancel the subscription from your Niblet Account page using Stripe’s secure customer portal.
For the initial Niblet Family subscription, you may cancel within 14 days after entering into the subscription and receive a full refund of the initial £4.99 payment. To exercise this launch policy, email support@nibletstories.com from the email address associated with your Niblet account and clearly state that you wish to cancel. This 14-day launch policy applies even if you have started using Niblet during that period and is in addition to any statutory consumer rights.
You can also use the standard cancellation form below. Using the form is optional; a clear cancellation request by email is sufficient.
Standard cancellation form
To: Niblet Story Creator Ltd, support@nibletstories.com
I give notice that I cancel my Niblet Family subscription.
Name: [your name]
Account email: [your Niblet email]
Purchase date: [date]
Date of cancellation request: [date]
After that initial 14-day period, cancelling future renewal normally schedules the subscription to end at the end of the current paid period. Access continues through that paid period and already-paid story credits remain available subject to the normal credit balance cap and these terms. Refunds outside the initial 14-day launch policy remain available where required by law or where Niblet agrees that a billing or service error justifies one.
5. Your content and permissions
You keep the rights you already have in names, descriptions, photographs, prompts and other material you provide. You give Niblet the limited permission needed to host, process, transform and transmit that material to service providers so we can provide the features you request.
You must only upload or submit content that you are entitled to use. For photographs or personal information relating to another person, including a child, you are responsible for having the authority needed to use that material with Niblet.
Subject to these terms and to the extent Niblet Story Creator Ltd owns any rights in story text, illustrations or narration generated specifically for you, Niblet assigns those rights to you. This does not transfer ownership of Niblet’s software, brand, templates, prompts, design system, generic assets or other pre-existing materials. AI-generated material may not be unique, and similar material may be generated for other users.
6. AI-generated content
Niblet uses artificial intelligence to help plan, write, moderate, illustrate and narrate stories. AI-generated material can sometimes be inaccurate, inconsistent, unexpected or similar to material generated for other users. Adults should review generated content before sharing it with a child. Niblet does not guarantee that every generated output will be error-free or suitable for every family.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Niblet to:
- create or upload unlawful, abusive, exploitative or harmful content;
- infringe another person’s privacy, intellectual-property or other rights;
- attempt to bypass safety controls, access another user’s account or interfere with the service;
- use the service in a way that could harm children or facilitate inappropriate contact with children;
- automate excessive requests or otherwise misuse infrastructure in a way that materially affects other users.
8. Account security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Availability, safety and service changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Niblet may temporarily pause generation, billing or other features where reasonably necessary for safety, privacy, security, provider reliability, maintenance or payment integrity. We may improve or change features over time, but material changes to an existing paid subscription will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.
10. Deleting content and your account
You can delete stories and can permanently delete your account from the Account page. Story deletion removes the story’s stored media and linked operational generation records under Niblet’s launch deletion rules. Whole-account deletion removes the account’s private media and associated application records. A minimal pseudonymous Welcome Story claim marker may be retained to prevent repeated claims of the same free offer, as explained in the Privacy Notice. Deletion cannot be undone. Limited provider, security, backup or payment records may remain where technically necessary or where retention is justified or required by law.
11. Suspension or termination
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, children, the service or third parties; investigate suspected misuse; prevent fraud; or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will try to give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
12. Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable from our provision of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit that limitation.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains how Niblet handles personal information, family content, essential cookies, AI processing, billing identifiers and service telemetry.
14. Commercial operator and legal contact
Niblet Story Creator is operated by Niblet Story Creator Ltd, a private company limited by shares incorporated in England and Wales (company number 17460848). Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
Support: support@nibletstories.com.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms where reasonably necessary as Niblet evolves. If a change materially affects an existing paid user, we will provide the notice and options required by applicable law.
